Talking To A Luxury Beautician During A Pandemic

Elaine Evans is a decorated and qualified Beautician with a plan during a pandemic. While COVID-19 won’t stop it’s spread, she is taking all the necessary precautions to make her clients feel at ease and safe in her salon.

On 23 March, Boris Johnson announced the nationwide lockdown in the UK. People were only allowed out of the house for a few key reasons and all non-essential businesses were forced to shut, including beauticians who became some of the first professionals to close their doors. With that, the way we accessed beauty changed overnight, leaving many of us kicking ourselves with our unkempt feet that we hadn’t gone for a final pedicure.

We spoke to Elaine to understand the struggle it’s been during lockdown but how she is now is bouncing back with a vengeance “Obviously, while in the national lockdown I downed my tools (nail file etc) as was advised, I thought about how exactly I could make clients feel safe when they arrived.” Elaine says, “I have the necessary visor, face coverings and gloves on while attending to my clients, and customers are in wearing their face coverings.”

Elaine is a Treatment Specialist, having worked at the esteemed Elizabeth Arden salon in London, along with market leader OPI nail products, Elaine can give clients some light in an unusually dark time, “I want to create some happiness for people and bring them back to some normality through beauty, and it seems to be working. I like my clients leaving with a spring in their step, relaxed and happy” Having recently received a number of 5 Star reviews (just check her Google Reviews), including a fantastic one from a mother and daughter booking.

Elaine is now also happy to announce she is a Neal’s Yard Consultant and Professional Practitioner. It goes without saying that if you’re in Kent and need a sanitised, at-home professional Beautician, Elaine is the best choice for a relaxed, luxurious atmosphere in the safest place you can be.
